Umeshu - Ume (plum) -shu (sake) - sometimes referred to as plum wine, is made by steeping Ume fruits in alcohol (sometimes sake, sometimes shochu) and sugar. The result is a smooth, sweet nectar that is great straight chilled, on the rocks or as a cocktail mixer. The best examples are all natural and free from added sugar or any artificial sweetener.
